Award Holders
Below is a list of our current award holders. Awards were presented at our Awards ceremony at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal on the 23rd March 2010.
The awards, sponsored by the Environment Agency and Resource Cumbria, rewarded 230 leading businesses that are benefiting the outstanding Cumbrian environment.
In addition, four Excellence awards were given to businesses that went over and above the criteria required – truly embracing new measures out of concern for the environment, and showing real dedication to resource efficiency.
The Excellance awards were presented to:
Gold - Lakes Leisure Ltd, Kendal
Silver - Castle Green Hotel, Kendal
Bronze - Glaramara Centre, Borrowdale
This year there was an extra award for 'Outstanding individual' that was presented to Alison Clark from the Miners Arms, Nenthead who has been a real environmental champion in her village.
