System Training Ltd, part of System Group, is a training
organisation with a driving ambition for environmental excellence.
The company’s driver training programme, SAFED (safe and fuel efficient driving), is designed to reduce fuel consumption by around 5%. So far, over 1000 drivers have taken the SAFED training course which the company estimates has delivered fuel savings on over 50,000 miles per driver, per year.
System Training is also committed to improving its own environmental performance. For several years CBEN has been advising the company on energy efficiency, water conservation and environmental management.
The results are impressive with reductions in electricity, gas and water consumption which have all been achieved through a combination of efficiency measures, high technology products and improved environmental systems. Waste recycling has reduced landfill costs and procurement policies now include purchasing recycled products. The company is also committed to protecting the natural environment and has set aside a parcel of its own land as a wildlife habitat.
“Environmental excellence is crucial to business success and an essential part of the services we deliver. CBEN’s support has helped us improve our own environmental performance and strengthened our reputation as a major environmental service provider.” Alan Smith, System Group.
The company has extended its customer services to include computerised fleet management GPS logging systems with enhanced health, safety and specialist environmental training also now available.
With CBEN Gold Award and a growing reputation as an environmental service provider, System Training has consolidated its customer base, increased sales by £1.3 million and taken on an additional 25 employees to meet the growing demand for environmental and other training services
