The Cumbria Business Environment Network (CBEN) provides professional services to businesses, as well as delivering projects within Cumbria.

CBEN is a project delivered by the Cumbria Rural Enterprise Agency.
A summary of the services and projects offered by CBEN:
  • ENWORKS Resource Efficiency project offers small and medium sized businesses free environmental support, helping you to identify resource and cost savings. 
CBEN delivers the ENWORKS Resource efficiency project for Cumbria. If your business is an SME* you may be entitled to a free environmental resource efficiency visit. This will involve one of our experienced consultants visiting you and producing a report highlighting potential cost savings for your business. More Info…
  •          CBEN Environmental Awards
Our environmental awards have been running for 11 years and are recognised across Cumbria. We have recently made changes to scheme and they are are now called the Green at Heart Awards. Whether you are looking to demonstrate environmental responsibility or looking to work with other sustainable businesses the CBEN environmental awards could be beneficial to you.   •          Environmental Management
CBEN can deliver Environmental Management solutions from initial concept and implementation of a system through to independent auditing and certification. The CBEN Environmental Management System certification has been designed in line with ISO 14001 and can be used as stepping stone for businesses or as a more cost effective standalone solution. The award is recognised by supply chains throughout Cumbria and can be used to demonstrate compliance with environmental conditions in tender contracts, as well as delivering the associated cost savings of an environmental management system.More info…
